The author clearly loves Sicily and knows a great deal about it. I travel to Italy and Sicily often and was hoping to be able to use this book as a resource. There is valuable information to be had in it with lists of sights to see, places to stay and chosen restaurants to take advantage of. I, however, had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a paperback copy, which was missing all of the pictures, most of the punctuation, and had textflow issues (with bad breaks in the paragraphs and between pages, etc.). The pages throughout were very poor, resulting in the fact that it was hard to find the valuable information. Perhaps the only useful form of this book is with a kindle, nook, or other e-reader. I think I really missed out on not having the photos.
Very nice and useful book. I highly recommend it for Italian trips.
